Our Story

Every morning, we start our day to the delicious, comforting smell of our hotteok dough that’s been rising through the night.

The history of No.1 Pancake began in 2010 when we took over ownership of Corner Pancake on Lorne Street in Auckland CBD, 16 years after we immigrated from Korea in 1994.

We devoted our time and energy into creating a delicious product that was reasonably priced for university students and office workers in the busy CBD.

Over the next 12 years, we continued to build a loyal customer base, and the amount of love and support we received was beyond anything we had imagined.

Although it was sad to move on from our home on Lorne Street in 2021, we’re excited to have you with us as we settle in Rosedale.

We’re fully dedicated to making delicious hotteok that you and your whole family can enjoy.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
